2023 Cadillac Escalade-V

Tires are an often overlooked safety component of your vehicle, but because they play such a vital role, proper Cadillac tire maintenance is necessary. The team at Holman Cadillac is here to help keep your tires performing at their best for as long as possible. There are a few Cadillac tire maintenance tasks you can perform right at home as well. Learn how to check Cadillac tire tread and more in this tire care guide.

Inspect Your Tires Monthly

Checking your tires once a month is recommended, and all you need is ten minutes to complete this monthly inspection. Catch small issues before they turn into costly repairs.

Check your tire pressure monthly even if your vehicle has a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. Make sure your tires are “cold” before you check the pressure. If you can, wait a few hours after your last drive. If your tires need air, gradually add air until you achieve the correct PSI.

Once everything is squared away with your tire pressure, we recommend looking at the condition of your tires. Check for gashes, embedded objects, and uneven wear patterns. Uneven wear patterns could be a sign of problems like overinflated tires, misaligned wheels, or suspension issues.

How to Check Cadillac Tire Tread

Did you know that you can check your tire tread with just a penny? We explain how to check Cadillac tire tread below:

  • Place your penny into a tread groove upside down.
  • Can you see the top of Lincoln’s head? If this is the case, it is a sign that your tire tread is too low and that your tires should be replaced.
  • Repeat the penny test on all tires and in several locations on each tire.

Additional Tire Care

If you want to get the most out of your tires on the roads of Maple Shade and Cherry Hill, don’t forget to schedule these service appointments:

  • Rotate and Balance Tires – Every 5,000 to 7,000 miles
  • Wheel Alignment – Every 7,000 miles

Cadillac Tire PSI Guide

Most Cadillac models have a recommended tire pressure of 30 psi to 42 psi. Recommendations vary based on vehicle type and tire, so it’s best to look at your owner’s manual for exact figures. This info may also be found on the sticker located on the inside edge of your driver’s door.
