Your tires are an often overlooked, yet critical component of your vehicle. They should be properly inflated at all times for safe and efficient driving on the roads of Maple Shade and Cherry Hill. What is the Cadillac recommended tire pressure? Learn all about proper tire care in this Cadillac tire pressure guide from Holman Cadillac

What is the Cadillac Recommended Tire Pressure?

As a rule of thumb, tire pressure should usually be between 32-36 PSI. It will vary from model to model so it is important to look at your owner’s manual to see what the recommendations are from the automaker. We encourage you to check your tire pressure on a regular basis to ensure that your tires are ready for the roads of Pennsauken.

How to Check Your Tire Pressure

The next part of our Cadillac tire PSI guide covers how to check your tire pressure. This is a simple task you can do right at home. Many vehicles are equipped with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. This feature uses sensors to keep tabs on your tires at all times. You can also use a tire pressure gauge as well. Here’s how:

  • Remove the cap from the air valve on the tire. Put the cap in a secure location so that you don’t lose it.
  • Press the tire gauge against the open valve stem for a few seconds. If you hear a hiss of air, don’t worry – that’s normal!
  • Read the air pressure gauge.
  • See how the reading compares to the Cadillac recommended tire pressure.
  • Put the air valve cap back in place unless you need to adjust the tire pressure by adding or releasing air.
  • Repeat this process for each tire.

Help! My TPMS is On

What does it mean if your TPMS dashboard light is illuminated? This simply means that one or more tires are not inflated to the Cadillac recommended tire pressure. Usually, it means that your tires are underinflated. If this is the case, check the tire pressure of all four tires with a gauge, and re-fill to the correct PSI with an air compressor. There are many portable air compressors available, and you will often find them at Mount Laurel-area gas stations.

Why is it so important to follow the Cadillac tire pressure guide?

  • Underinflated tires can lead to poor handling, excessive tire wear, and reduced fuel economy.
  • Overinflated tires can cause reduced traction and poor braking. Your tires are also more susceptible to a blowout.
